Arterial Drive

Arterial Drive is a six member band from Montana.  Despite their different influences and backgrounds, these musicians share the ability to GROOVE.  With over 200 shows performed in 2018, Arterial Drive takes pride in the "tightness" of their songs. Audiences are captivated by the unique sound that includes sax, violin, piano and trumpet blending perfectly with sweet vocal harmonies and a conventional rock and roll rhythm section.

Konnor slays on alto and tenor saxophones bringing his tasty jazz licks into each set. Drew strums a mean guitar, sings his lungs right out and is one of the realest humans you’ll meet. Juanillo slapa-da-bass and will sooth all your worries with his voice. Josh is the energizer bunny, a human metronome, and has fantastic life wisdom tidbits to share. Meg rocks the fiddle, sings with powerful soul, shakes an egg sometimes, and really loves to dance. Ryan is a greasy trumpet player, spits mean rhymes, and will play the blues piano until the cows come home.

The energy of their performance is contagious and the soul and emotion of their original songs is deeply felt among listeners. Arterial Drive is a warm, authentic listen for your ears in a cold overproduced music climate.

This band always will be friends first, musicians second. Starting off jamming, playing small coffee shop and bar shows, they soon became a family of sorts...

“We are super lucky that we actually enjoy hanging out with each other!  A band has to click in order to persevere and make an honest go at a music career! When music seems like an obligatory chore, we're doing something wrong. “

I was born on a rainy day in Seattle, Washington... on a Tuesday.

Music is my thing. I like football, I like bowling, I like snowboarding and disc golf, but MUSIC IS MY THING. I made a promise to myself that I would never stop writing and performing my music after I saw Lucinda Williams' old ass in concert. I was inspired by her personal songwriting, her persistence, and her ability to adapt to the ever-changing tastes in the music world.

I hope that one day I will be that old ass musician on stage and I can say, "don't give up on it whippersnapper, just do you boo boo."

Oh yes, I play the geets, I sing and I write songs usually based on true events.

Peace

Juanillo Chavis

bass

Growing up I was an avid listener of music and memorized songs from the radio. My father showed me classic rock, grunge and mariachi music which made me want to be a musician. I got my first guitar at 11 and learned one lick before realizing how hard it was to play, my older brother had one and quickly picked up on playing which helped me to push forward with it.

In high school, I played bass in the pep band and learned how to play the drums. I explored new music genres such as prog rock/metal and indie/math rock. After high school I took guitar a lot more seriously and studied classical guitar, jazz, flamenco, and metal.

I met my wife shortly after, We now have 3 kids who are also avid music listeners. Today my influences are countless and to try to explain them would be longer then this paragraph...

so why not listen to our songs and hear them for yourselves?

Music. Tunes. Jammin.

The best way to spend time!

Throughout all the change that comes with life on this planet as a living, breathing, feeling human, the statement above is constant for me. Music makes me smile the biggest, feel the deepest, and laugh the hardest. One of my favorite things to do is write and play music with my Arterial Drive dudes! But it's bigger than me.

I really believe all the music we wrote and played individually before forming our band was preparing us to come together in the best way at the exact right time.

So please, sit back, close your eyes, open your ears, and listen to Arterial Drive sing for you!

Konnor Stiles

saxophone

Since my infant days, I’ve always held a special interest in music. I started playing piano at age 6, with very little idea what music would do for me. Later on in the 5th grade, I made the best decision of my life: to play saxophone.

Constantly listening to Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Sonny Rollins I’ve learned to appreciate and admire Jazz. My biggest goal for my near future is to incorporate what I have learned into my own unique sound.

I enjoy being outdoors. My hobbies include hiking, folfing, fishing, and composing for small arrangements. Currently, I am studying at Montana State University Billings for Music Performance.

Ryan Supola

piano, trumpet

I'm from Billings, MT. I play trumpet, piano, and sing in Arterial Drive. My hobbies include playing dead, break dancing in the background of newscasts, and barking at strangers. Music has always provided an outlet for getting my stories, and my songs across to people.

My hope is that my music will pull at your heartstrings, and help you with whatever it is that you're going through in life.

If you see me at a gig or out in public, feel free to introduce yourself! I love meeting new people (especially new fans!) I hope to see you soon!
